Recently, feminist Mormon mother Gabrielle Blair claimed that men cause 100% of pregnancies, and therefore the responsibility of birth control should fall on men—not women. Seeing as it satisfied the two requirements of any feminist argument, being misandrist and inaccurate, it became wildly popular, receiving hundreds of thousands of likes and retweets. She has since run away with her success, writing a book because naturally we do not have enough stupid people being vocal.

Feminists love this argument. It’s extremely convenient for them because it allows them to (a) take responsibility off of women, (b) insinuate that men are overwhelmingly pro-life while women are pro-choice (which is not true, as pro-life/pro-choice are divided evenly down the middle by sex), and (c) empower female rapists.

Since I can already hear the shrieks of feminist trolls here, I’ll elaborate on (c). The only way that the statement “Men cause 100% of pregnancies” can be true is if men are either:

• never raped by women.

• responsible for being raped.

Note: “rape” includes reproductive coercion here. Just as discrete condom removal without consent is rape, going off birth control unannounced or sabotaging other birth control is also rape. For the record, excluding all other female-on-male rape, over 10% of American men experience reproductive coercion at some point in their lives.

If men cause 100% of pregnancies, that means that the raped men also caused those pregnancies.

Here’s where feminists begin arguing.

B-b-b-but … he should have been more responsible!

Yes, and this is also why I say all feminists turn into conservative pundit Ben Shapiro when the topic is men. To Shapiro, unwanted pregnancies are the consequence of bad sexual decisions. This is not an opinion that I agree with. However, feminists certainly do. They simply believe that men who don’t want to be fathers should not have sex, just as Shapiro does. The only difference is that Shapiro’s opinion extends to women while theirs does not.

Here's where I get confused, though. Blair's tweet was made years ago. There is absolutely no chance that my argument hasn't been stated by other people. Feminists have heard the point about male rape victims, and yet they still insist on quoting her repeatedly. And yet they don't care.

It’s just male rape victim erasure. It’s feminists standing up for female rapists proudly and vocally, stating that it’s always the man’s fault.
