So a few days ago I asked if women are owed marriage. My account was suspended after that so I was unable to respond to any comments. I'd like to summarise the interactions if the admins allow it.

The answers given were

  1. No, women aren't owed marriage.

  2. Women are owed marriage as much as men are owed sex.

  3. Women aren't owed marriage but men should make their intentions clear in the beginning.

Counter arguments: Women can also make it clear that they are dating to marry, women do not make it clear that they'll not have sex with a guy either, or if they are only going on dates for free food.

  1. If men do not marry after dating, then they were just leading women, and are bad.

Counter argument: Same applies for women, also can be said about not having sex after dating.

  1. People date to figure out if you would like to marry that person.

In all this discussion, only one person noticed that the men I was talking about were the ones who had just gotten rid of an abusive/crazy ex.

Instead of supporting these men, questions were raised about how they are bad and how they have wasted HER time.

This does not happen when women leave an abusive relationship. They are praised and celebrated for doing so.

Another day, another double standards.
