Finished my degree a few months back and now I am at a loose end. I don't want to go into career work straight away, despite being offered some very good jobs and have always had an ambition to travel. I also recently turned down a prospective girlfriend that I had been seeing during my last year of college, because I have been planning on heading off since long before I met her. I know that was the right decision even though I've been feeling pretty lonely recently and doubting the decision. Case of oneitis I suppose, that I cant seem to shake. Anyway my point is that I have made a few sacrifices for this gap year so I must do it right. What would you guys recommend? I'm taking a few months to earn some additional cash and then plan to set off in the new year. I've been researching into working on such things as ski resorts, teaching English to kids in Thailand, even working with wildlife conservation in Costa Rica to name a few. Any advice/input is appreciated. I want to use this year to develop as a man.
