What's the best way to respond to a blunt rejection? For example, how would you respond to, "I'm way out of your league." (If the nonverbals are cold, should you even BOTHER to respond? Should you just "save face" and give up? And, if so, how do you "save face?")

If it's one-on-one then here is not need to respond.

If you are in a group then it is dealer's choice.

I was in a mixed group and made the comment that I prefer "cute" girls rather than "hot" girls. On cue, a hot girl asks "Is that because you can't get hot girls?"

I said "No, I can get hot girls but they tend to be complete fucking bitches."

That comment didn't get me laid but one guy told me it was "awesome".

But moving backwards, a lot of that is just a shit test.

The basic come-back is "and what league would that be?"

It is then "three strikes and you're out"

You never have to "save face" if the people observing the shit show don't matter to you.
