For many months, a British soap has been airing a storyline about radicalised misogyny as part of female awareness and empowerment. Part of the storyline involved a insecure Teen named Mason, aged 14 to 15, finding solace on a internet forum and blog where he ends up groomed and radicalised by members of the site, including the main villain of the story named Eric (who is a victim of indoctrination himself), into hating women. The name of the fictional site is called MEN First and is based on the red pill/black pill ideology, MGTOW and Men's rights.

According to the show, one of the telltale signs of radicalisation is the use of language and diction; words such as "Chad, Cuck, Stacey, Karen, SIMP, hypogamy, woke etc. One scene featured the teen attempting to apply game on his school crush, with the help of the forum, only for it to backfire badly with him getting shunned and labeled a creep. His new friends including Eric encourage him to get his revenge by stealing her boyfriend's phone and uploading her nudes to the site; a forum that also encourages the drugging and documented humiliation of women and girls including writing the word 'slag' on a unconscious woman's forehead after spiking her.

The story's climax ended last week with Eric, having took the final step of swallowing the black pill, going on a killing spree with women being his main target. His weapon of choice was a crossbow. Eric even had a video cam taped on his chest with it streaming to a live audience on the forum. No deaths occurred including Eric who ended up in hospital after being overpowered by his female hostages and shot by a police marksman. His goal was to be remembered as 'The Supreme male'.

The story's aftermath is going to be part 2 of the story about the de-radicalisation of the teen and Eric; it has been hinted the show could introduce to viewers to the leaders of such sites. Writers and actors of the show have visited sites, subreddits along with watching and reading material for accuracy. Eric along with the group's members and leaders are meant to be based on real life figure of the 'manosphere' such as Andrew Tate, Ross, Roosh, Pook, Rollo etc.
