I think the concept of marital rape is flawed and designed to trap men to extort them.

There are n number of laws that can be used by wife to get protection in case of any kind of ill treatment. But calling intercourse between spouse as rape is just nonsensical. The spouses are expected to have intercourse n number of times. So the physical and economical loss that one spouse incurs due to having unwanted intercourse is non-existent hence the any term like marital rape should be non-existent in legal books. One may call that there is emotional impact, but the emotional impact happens in every disagreement between the spouses and they can be dealt using other laws.
