I check this thread from time to time (even posted a few years back under a different user name) so I know this is probably no surprise to you all since you deal with these unjustices on time. It's disgusting.

I'll leave out the account since there's no point, but long story short, his ex claimed that my fiance was abusive towards her when picking up their daughter. The magistrate put out a warrant for him but left it to the police on if he would be hauled in for jail or just given the warrant. They, thank God, chose the latter, as the police officer thought the case seemed odd (More on that in a second) and because it's almost Thanksgiving. But had he chosen to, my fiance would be sitting in jail right now and losing his job for it.

A sick part of it is that even in her claim, he never hurt her- she claims he pushed past her and entered her house, then left when she asked him to. (But that didn't occur). THAT POSSIBLY WARRANTS JAIL TIME?!

Meanwhile, she's done violent-ish things, on that level or more, to him...I bet if he filed, nothing would happen.

SO YOU CAN JUST CLAIM THAT SOMETHING BAD HAPPENED, HAVE ZERO PROOF, AND GET SOMEONE ARRESTED?! SERIOUSLY?!?!?!

I am SO SORRY that any of you have been affected by these sorts of things. Usually when I see things from this sub, it's about rape, not alleged abuse, but both accusations are ridiculous without proof.
