Thinking back, almost every example of rape-culture I've been shown has involved someone of status or influence, someone who would have received preferential treatment regardless of the crime. Perhaps it's a politician or CEO, perhaps it's a relative of theirs, an actor, or maybe it's just the star athlete in a small town; yes, they're male, but it's their status which results in their treatment, not their gender - think bourgeoisie and proletariate before their gendering by feminists.

It's not a gender privilege, but a status privilege; and yes, men hold more formal positions of status, but being a woman is, alone, a position of social status compared to men; so, while there might me more stories of male stars being treated "well" under an accusation, those stories aren't representative of the average man, who lacks status.

TL;DR - If you take status into account, nearly every example of the accused being treated well as evidence of rape culture vanishes.
