I thought some of you might be interested in this:

About 6 weeks ago a website was raised here that mentions the Western Australian state governing body website offers support to female victims of domestic abuse and support to male abusers... not victims.

I wrote a deliberately argumentative (verging on rude) email to express my dissatisfaction and was pleasantly surprised with the result.

My email, excerpt copied and pasted from their website.

Hello,

I was wondering if you would be willing to explain why that, in a governing agencies eyes, men do not need support and protection from domestic violence and only guidance on how to prevent it.

Because we all know that in this day and age men are always the brutaliser and never the victim. I know that when, as a male, if I endure the endless torrent of abuse and degradation it must clearly be my fault because the government tells me so.

Please advise at your earliest convenience.

Regards,

Looking at the website today you can see a new sentence has been added on the end of the mens services statement. It is minor but it is something.

Just wanted to share, maybe someone in Western Australia will see it and feel it's ok to get help.
