This is my first content post here and i just wanted to share my thoughts on something i saw. I was just watching Maury (my favorite day time show) when this 2013 episode featured a female babysitter who had sex with the 13 year old she was babysitting. The episode was about whether he was the father (he was not). I think she was 20 ish at the time and the show took place 3 years later. I have no idea where they were from but how is it that she is not in jail for statutory rape and now she is being paid (I assume) to show up on tv! Even the parents seemed less angry than they should have. Of course it would have been different if some 20 year old young man had sex with a 13 year old girl. I don't think that woman was even labeled as a sex offender. This difference in public opinion and level of punishment really bothers me.

Maury has no episode titles so I can't really direct you to the episode if you want to see it for yourself.

Edit: no one can really be sure but after looking arround the web and clues from watching I believe that Maury is real and unscripted. just like all the judge Judy like shows, they are real cases but not real judges and the people are manipulated for maximum drama, but the basis is real
