A repost from a prior submission to "Confession".

A week ago I took a waitress home and slept with her. I didn't come home until the next morning. Big side note, I've been married for 4 years.

I absolutely love my wife but our marriage has been very difficult. She has a drinking problem she refuses to fix or truly acknowledge (drinks 4 days a week. Twice a week she actually gets drunk.) I've tried helping and I've come to accept it.

I on the other hand had a pornography addiction. I no longer do but I did up until about a year ago.

The biggest issue has been that she changed right when we got engaged. It was like a switch went off. Going from a loving supportive girlfriend to selfish wife. Ive felt like she loved the benefits of being married but not the work of it. (I make good money and she gets virtually everything she wants). She constantly put her sister's opinions and beliefs before me and our marriage. I tried communicating this to no avail for 3 years.

As of a few months ago, her sister moved away and she's started to become much more of a caring, loving wife (still drinks but at least an improvement overall). However I feel an emptiness there.

Which goes back to why I posted this in the first place. I know what I did was terrible and what I did is not excusable regardless of where were at in our marriage. However I don't feel very guilty about it. A part of me feels alive again. Slightly happy again.

I've never had trouble dating. My wife is beautiful. I have a successful career. And it's not about the physical act that was amazing. I just feel that tension and chase again. I felt someone who wanted me that I wanted back, at least in the moment.

I'm not proud of what I did and still not sure what to do going forward. I'm not going to see the woman again for sure.

Thanks for reading. I appreciate the feedback good or bad.

My question for TRP, are there any recommendations that you have for me in this situation? There's obviously been an amount of respect my wife lost for me during the way. What do you think from your perspective and what you would do if you were in my situation?

Again thanks for the feedback.
