Hi,
I have a 5 day evaluation and interview coming up for admission into a training program, upon successful completion of which I shall be commisioned at the post of a Lieutenant. I'm coming from a civilian background and have a technical undergrad degree behind me. The evaluation will involve a few rounds of public speaking, extempore, group discussions, psychological evaluations through word associations and picture perception, group tasks, command tasks and individual tasks (including an obstacle course). This will be concluded with a 1-on-1 interview. The fundamental qualities they will be looking for (as mentioned on the official website) are:

  • Effective Intelligence
  • Reasoning Ability
  • Organizing ability
  • Power of Expression
  • Social Adaptability
  • Co-operation
  • Sense of Responsibility
  • Initiative
  • Self Confidence
  • Quickness of Decision
  • Ability to influence
  • Liveliness
  • Determination
  • Courage
  • Stamina

I was wondering if the askTRP community could help me in this regard. I have been a long time lurker on the parent TRP sub and have been diligently preparing my mind, body and spirit. Goes without saying that this is something I really desire, and quite naturally as the date draws closer (10 days out, at the time of writing this) I'm getting the jitters. Just want to make sure I've done all that I can. I would really appreciate any inputs from folks belonging to the Armed Forces

Cheers!
