She is free, pending all of her appeals. Which could very easily take years.

That's code for a bribed judge waiting for the heat to die down. In a year or two you'll quietly see her sentence entirely commuted. Trust and believe.

I think 15 months is okey, she will be in prison and that in itself will be enough to make her future life mich harder. Besides from the fact that whatever she is doing now (school, college whatever) will be gone.

We need to keep in mind that she didnt kill him directly, in the end it was still the boy who did the actions.
