Hey there everyone, I (22f) have been struggling to figure out how to turn down this trip invite. I am one of two women in my department that was asked to attend this trip. It’ll be a weekend trip that requires me to fly a substancial distance (which I have never done before) to another state. I don’t think I should attend because I’m nervous to fly alone and go to a state I haven’t been to before. In addition to this, I would feel uncomfortable possibly going out to a club because I’m in a relationship. I also like having my weekends to myself to relax after work and going on this trip would take that away. I’m a homebody and don’t like going out much. I’m bad at saying no to things and I feel awkward doing so because I know they’ll ask if I’m going in front of everyone. How should I decline the invitation?
