Some of you may be surprised to learn that "radical leftist" websites have frequently engaged in very strong critiques of postmodernism, identity politics and feminism.

On feminism, they typically add a qualifier: eg carceral feminism, establishment feminism, bourgeois feminism, anti-sex feminism, anti-male feminism and so forth. Which is a start, but not good enough.

In fact, critiques of feminism on the radical left were much more robust a hundred years ago when the socialist Earnest Belfort Bax wrote the first major critique of the philosophy, the fraud of feminism.

Anyway, though this author would definitely not agree with many of Peterson's political views she defends him on the issue of gender and dares to question patriarchy theory, "toxic masculinity" and other feminist myths. Counterpunch is one of the most popular radical leftist websites. A sign of things to come hopefully, because if feminists lose their "left" cover they're toast.
