I hear feminists always complain about men who won't date women who have sex with an excessively large number of people. They always say:
- Their sexual history doesn't matter. You're just slut shaming! Give them a chance!
But then when someone says they won't date a virgin, these same people think it's okay, and you're "entitled" if you're bothered by that. They think it's somehow different and not some double standard. It is a double standard. Saying "but experienced people don't need to be taught" doesn't mean shit. They basically assume experienced people must be good at sex even though many experienced people are bad at it and many experienced people might think they're good at it when they're not.
We always hear the virgins are clingy stereotype, but this is a myth, and I find it ironic that people call virginity a "social construct" but then assume any virgin you have sex with will automatically cling suddenly. In fact, the reasons why some virgins might cling is because many are teens and teens are emotional and full of puppy love, so it's more of an age thing. In fact, virgins were not found to be clingy in their love style attachments. Late bloomers also, despite having less relationship experience, had better relationships.
What I have to say: it doesn't take that long to teach someone sex. I even heard some women who've been with virgins say they had multiple orgasms per session within like two months on r/AskWomen. People think it requires too much patience, but the way I look at it: there are so many things in life that require far more patience: relationships itself, 9-5 hour jobs, studying hours and hours for exams, finding a job, parenting, paying bills, being busy all week, etc. If you can handle the patience for all those things, you can handle teaching a virgin, especially given that it doesn't take that long. You're just being lazy. Experienced people aren't necessarily good at sex, and inexperienced people aren't always bad partners, so saying it's not different to call virginity a dealbreaker compared to promiscuity being a dealbreaker is nonsense.
What really takes tons of patience is spending a long time finding someone who is willing to overlook your inexperience, which can take a super long time. This explains why the percentage of virgins decreases very gradually after 25, despite declining rapidly in the teens/early 20s. Many older virgins still were virgins into mid-life. You really have to start in your teens for anyone to give you a chance when you're older. I've even seen people online as young as 19 or 20 say they won't date virgins, which is laughable. And people wonder why teens rush to have sex early even if they're not ready. Well, they have no choice.
What's unfair is that promiscuous people can lie about their history and get away with it, but it's hard for virgins to fake experience.
