If the Gillette advert was aimed at women, it would be equivalent to a tampon manufacturer saying:
"Women, remember that it is truly shameful when we cheat. Finally, society has had enough .. of our duplicity ... our false accusations... what we have done to mankind. We should be ashamed when we cheat, not pretend it doesn't matter, like whores that mess guys around and sleep with their friends - we are filthy sluts when we cheat, but all is not lost! Some are already conforming to the idea that they will not stray away, especially in front of our children - we want girls to grow into soulmates, not slags. We can't "sulk it away", and hope the men in our life's don't find out the child might not be his. Only we can make sure it is. We don't have to be bitchy to one another, we can work together to build the demure and trustworthy womankind that gentlemen need!" .... Just because there's a "slut" in the Whitehouse. What's being duplicitous got to do with being a woman? Can't we just be against cheating? Can we stand up for those women who are not cheaters? Can we stand up for those women who are cheated on and get no support but we just victim blamed?
No, because its not fashionable, it's time to reinforce sexist stereotypes.
Plus.. It would be a tampon manufacturer that has been a symbol for normal, good (even "the best"..) women for decades, and sponsors a well loved female celebrity, popular with girls. But, also a celebrity that happens to have hit her husband once, and almost lost her career, so might feel too ashamed to stand up for all the women who aren't cheating sluts, and don't like cheating full stop. (MissySeduction .. I.e. DrDisrespect, the best a man can get, apparently).
Should we trust the motives of highly partisan group that specifically doesn't use beard shavers, making beard shavers into their political tool? An increasingly radical group that dislikes everything about men? The group that stamps out people studying or hearing about men's issues, with the help of "knowledge" that they fabricate? A group that jealously attempts to control any gendered narrative and distorts the truth for their own gain? That has legions of activists working as researchers to launder "activism" as "knowledge"? Would the man in charge of the equivalent campaign still have a job tomorrow?
The answer to all of this is No, and Gillette have shown where they stand on men's issues. Even men's fucking shavers are now "for feminists"?!?.. I say "for feminists" as I know many decent women who would not agree with Gillette's aspersions about men, or they suggest all women think. The "feminist" that thought this was a good idea wouldn't even want to list men's issues out of dogmatic shame for "conceding" them as issues we should allow men to get help on, lest it take up a second of one persons consciousness not thinking about women's issues, or imply a questionable feminist theory has only ever been supported with fabricated "knowledge".
We need to "reclaim tampons". The poor fuckers on the tampon factory lines are about to get a meeting at the head table of patriarchy tomorrow guys, with head Anti-Slut Donald Trump. And if they are all women, we'll get the farmers that grow the cotton. We got this still. Its still our game lads. We call the shots here. I mean we could have reclaimed tampons as being "for patriarchy" ages ago on some trumped up charge we found on an episode of South Park or Beavis and Butthead, but it would be so ludicrous to that it'd just give the game away, and women wouldn't trust that "patriarchy" was "for everyone" anymore, so we didn't. Well that time has come.. Its Plan B on toiletries. The weaponisation stage.
there doesn't seem to be anything here
