The teenage girl, who had run away from home and was living with her 24-year-old boyfriend, a pimp who went by “Kut Throat,” fatally shot Allen in bed after she thought he was reaching for his own gun, her lawyers said.

So she was a prostitute who got picked up and shot her client.

Authorities say Brown then took money out of Allen's wallet, took two of his guns then stolen his pickup truck and drove to a Walmart parking lot. She had someone else pick her up but was later arrested.

So all in all, my opinion is that there aren't any heroes here. Men should avoid picking up prostitutes, and Allen was in the wrong place when a really damaged person robbed and murdered him. Allen was absolutely a shit bag if he was cruising for underage girls. For the pimp, with a name like Kut-Throat, you know what you're getting.

Her life decisions up to this point don't point to a person who's capable of being a net positive to society, so she probably needs to be in a highly structured environment, such as prison. Those calling for her pardon and release are separated from reality, because she likely doesn't have the coping mechanisms not to relapse into this lifestyle and ultimately destroy herself or others in the long run.

Brock Turner seems to have bought his way out of a jail sentence. He should, in fact, be behind bars due to the fact that he was convicted of rape. If he'd been poor and wound up in the same circumstances, he'd be in jail right now. Black, yellow, or white don't matter, green does. If OJ had been poor, he'd be in the klink too. Unfortunately instead of addressing the vast imbalance in the quality of representation between the richest and poorest citizens and its impact on the legal system, it's presented as a gendered issue or white privilege.
