However, Swedish police confirmed to Fox News in July that the man whose deportation Ersson prevented had received a prison sentence in Sweden for assault. The man was subsequently deported despite Ersson's efforts. I guess standing up for the rights of someone you know nothing about as a person isn't the best idea. All's well that ends well.
