Short back story. I initiated divorce in 2019. Years of infidelity finally culminating with her bringing the guy she was fucking TO MY HOME while I slept in my basement and my children were asleep on their beds. FINALLY granted a divorce in Feb of 2021 and STILL have to wait on the property division because she wants more money than I have.
Why is the system one sided? This piece of work has gotten a DUI and totaled her car from it. To THIS day she is driving on a revoked license because she won't go get the ignition interlock that was court ordered to be in her car. Anything happen to her? Nope! 9 months ago my oldest son facetimed me crying his eyes out begging me to come and get him because his mom was drunk, screaming at him and my youngest son and eventually passed out on the floor on her living room unconscious. I called the cops, they showed up, gave me my boys, called CPS and had a case filed against her. My Attorney argued for a Guardian Ad Litem to be instituted for my kids and what did the judge say "Meh, no, I don't think so, we'll see how things go and if something else happens we can revisit" If that would have been me? HOLY SHIT My ass probably would've been thrown in jail.
I gave this woman everything, including her career. She went to school for FREE from MY military benefits and has a great well paying job. I am now retired from the military and she is going after everything. My pension, my house, just anything she can get her hands on simply out of spite that I was no longer willing to accept her infidelity after years of repeated mistakes and the only reason I ever stayed was for my children. Now, here I am! Waiting for this fucked up court system to let me know that they're going to give her everything she wants and leaving me in the dust. WHY? Because the family court system is biased and it's complete and total bullshit. Now I sit here and spend $35 an email or $275 an hour to have my attorney try to get what they can for me but no no, at the end of the day this judge gets to decide it all. Evidence stacked against the ex wife, but that's ok, we'll just let those mistakes go and punish the man. Fuck you.
