I don't think that telling a rapist not to wolf whistle at women in the street, is going to stop him from raping women. He'll just rape them regardless of whether he is allowed to wolf whistle or not.

N.B. Rape is already illegal.

Seems like the biggest escalation to think anyone that wolf whistles a women or looks at a women is potentially going to rape and sexually assault that women. Instead of tackling weird looks and the occasional wolf whistle, how about we tackle sexual harassment full stop from both genders. Instead of ripping on a whole male population. Also with this joke "6pm men curfew", there's a certain type of people that won't abide to that. Criminals.

Rape is a crime.

Soon: Wolf whistling is a crime.

To come: Any attempt to talk, flirt with, ask for a #, or even look at a woman, when she doesn't want you to, is a crime.

And men will decide, "If I'm going to be a criminal whatever I do, might as well get my dick wet."

This is the effect of overcriminalizing and it's ludicrous that people haven't learned this lesson.

Cat-calling and Sexual Assault are linked?

What?

Can't flirting be considered cat-calling? Hell , I've heard feminists say that flirting should be considered harrassment to a degree , furthermore the whole premise of cat-calling isn't sexist per se.

Like lets say a woman cat-calls a man , is this misandrist?

No , not really.

Furthermore , making misogny a hate crime is all right however how does one infer a crime being misognyistic?

Take a look at Elliot Rodgers , a self-proclaimed "Incel" , Rodgers killed around 7 people ; 4 men and 3 women.

Its clear he was sexist to a degree however the shooting itself did not target women nor did women make the majority of victims however he himself was misognyistic so should we say that those 3 women died because of sexism and those 4 men died because...?

Catch my drift? Its hard to determine whether a crime is hateful or not.

Just take a look at the Atlanta Spa Shootings , were Long ( the mass-shooter) killed 8 people , 7 women ; 6 of Asian descent and 1 of caucasian descent.

Now , he himself said he did not target Asians and was a "sex addict" however him being hetrosexual meant he would target women , so is this a misogynistic hate crime?

It could be argued , however even if it is , why does it matter?

8 people still died , shouldn't that matter more than whether or not the shooter was racist or not?

It seems like gas-lighting the main issue , Long killed those people because of two-factors :

1 ) He was a sex addict

2) The ease of access of firearms

Now if people actually cared , they would try to focus on gun control or mental health issues and try to advocate legislation for gun control / mental health issues.

Long used a 9mm Pistol ( probably a Glock-17 ) which is legal to buy in Georgia and furthermore conceal carry's are legal too.

Furthermore Long went to rehab for his "sex addiction" and the main cause of shooting was his "sex addiction" ( according to Long himself ) .

How is it not already against the law? Discrimination based on sex is illegal in a variety of contexts (work, justice, etc. etc.)

Assault or harassment is obviously illegal... I don't get it.
