I don't get the post. I mean, sure the comments are toxic as shit, but the girl writing is 100% right, so why is the post here?

I sure hope you do not think that paying 50/50 with different incomes is fair. The dude is an asshole. If that's what you are saying, according to that logic I (23F) should ask my boyfriend to pay half of the rent and the bills, even though I'm the only one with a job. Of course I don't, we both choose to move in togheter well aware of our condition. You should pay proportionally to your income, THAT is equality, not wanting 50/50 at all costs.
