So over the last months, I've noticed a trend.

My Reddit front page has been taken over by MRA posts. Even though I subscribe to something like 50 subreddits... the top 10 articles on my Reddit feed always contains 2 or 3 MRA issues. It is as if Reddit is trying to drown out all of my other interests and overwhelm me with examples of injustice towards men.

This has had a profound impact on my psyche. I've started collecting facts and articles and curating them. Carefully organizing my counter arguments. I was constantly feeling triggered. Everytime I hear the word patriarchy or misogyny or the phrase wage gap. Everytime I see a black woman or a gender studies student I just started to expect the worst from them before they even said anything. I started to feel like everywhere all I saw was cancel culture hate speech against white men being openly normalized and tolerated as if it was civil discourse. This warped perception of reality was predominantly being fueled by my Reddit feed and bringing out the worst in me. I was trapped in an echo chamber of my own creation. The more I looked for injustice, the more I found and allowed that to drown out all other things for a while.

What I've come to realize since then is that if we allow the sexism and hate speech to control our thoughts and actions or provoke us into aggression, we're letting them win. Adopting this perspective has lead to better conversations and a realization that most women are receptive to the MRA viewpoint and recognise that women are just as likely to abuse women as men and that feminism is heading down a dark path based in hatred rather than equality.

When I stopped attacking, women (and men) started admitting they weren't so certain about this patriarchy stuff and actually started listening. Especially older women who've outgrown dating seem to universally question the hateful aspects of third wave feminism. We're winning gents. Hearts and minds are shifting. If it's hard to see it, try not to look so hard. In a really paradoxical way, it seems to help.

Stay classy and choose to fight the fights that are winnable. Remember a lot of times your adversary is trapped in their own echo chamber and hasn't realized it yet. The reality might be that "man hating" is just a phase of development most girls outgrow over time. That is really how I'm starting to see it.
