I have hired an attorney and am in the divorce process. Meanwhile I wanted to learn from peoples experience with custody.
In my case stbx plans to get married with this guy Texas and wants to move and take my son along. We have been in SF Bay Area for last 5 yrs and have been doing 50-50 in his time. I had not applied for divorce to help her immigration situation so there was no court order on the custody. During this period we moved on with life and we both were cohabitating with new partners. I have a child with the new partner and plan to get married once the divorce is completed. My stbx wants to get married to this new guy but says that she’s going to be hiding this fact to get spousal support. I read that the parent who’s moving away needs to compromise on the custody and the parent staying back will get primary custody. What are the chances that I might loose my child’s custody?
