Spain has just recently passed the “yes means yes” law for sexual assault. The law only applies to women. Under this law, a man must receive a verbal yes for each and every act, or else he faces a mandatory 4-10 year prison sentence.

It literally means that if a woman is sitting next to you, and has her arms around you and then starts kissing you, takes off your shirt, and leads you to the bedroom, the man is still guilty of rape and faces a mandatory 4-10 years in prison

Some spanish guys I went to school with say it’s crazy, pretty much all hookups and tinder has stopped, young guys never talk to women in public anymore, and it’s causing great tension.
