Same in Hungary. Vaccination is free for girls at age 12 while parents have to pay if they want to vaccinate boys. Their logic: boys can't get cervical cancer so they don't need to be vaccinated. They don't care about penile or pharynx cancer associated with HPV in men.

Only girls are given the HPV vaccine in the UK for free and it is often administered at schools, boys can be vaccinated but must pay £150 for it and must be done outside of school.

HPV affects men as much as it affects women and is a significant factor in rising cancer rates among men.
