Praise women for any life choice and mock men for non-conformity.

Marriage has always been transactional, just not overtly so.

Back in the day, when women didn't work so much or if they did they didn't earn enough to support a household, marrying a man of modest means who could support a family was considered a pretty good deal. She would provide sex and companionship, child rearing and household duties, etc. and he would provide a house, car, money for groceries, educations, vacations and other daily needs.

Now, women are paid equally to men and in the case of younger women, oftentimes MORE, so a man who "provides" (they are biologically wired to seek both providers as well as the best genes possible for offspring, which may or may not be the same person), anyway, a man who "provides" well must be a man making quite a lot more than the baseline in her head relative to what SHE'S earning.

Now, relationships are still transactional, just swinging away from marriage. Women are looking to multiple men (and often rely on the government as well) for the providership they seek. The free money and resources they feel they deserve simply for existing MUST come from somewhere. They look to one man (Alpha fucks) for the genes she seeks, to an orbiter who she leads on for attention and validation, to another orbiter nerd for free help with her computer, to another blue collar orbiter for free car help, and so on. She'll fuck some of them once in a while if it appears that it's necessary to keep the providership going, but that's not her preference. She prefers to fuck Chad, the one with the good genes, for free, and only considers entering into marriage if Chad happens to also out earn her (and thus be a provider in addition to his genetics).

At the same time, not coincidentally, "arrangements" with older, successful men are becoming mainstream, and accepted in society. Attractive college-aged and 20-something girls aren't embarrassed anymore about maintaining one or more sugar daddies by leveraging their youth and attractiveness for cold, hard cash and designer shoes and handbags. Another provider source of income (as well as validation -- "look at the lifestyle and luxury good I can command, just because I'm who I am") , simply for existing. There is a now-socially-acceptable transition happening from women gaining resources through marriage to gaining them through actual for-real-and-for-true overt prostitution.

So the transactional nature of women's relationships is simply shifting and becoming overt due to feminism and equal pay and shifting roles and the fact that the economy has evolved into a place where the average man with a decent job cannot fully provide for an entire family -- himself, woman, and 2.5 kids -- to the lifestyle marketers have told us we need to live anymore.

The bottom 80 or 90% of men (both genetically as well as provider ability-wise) are now experiencing a crisis of value. Where do we add value now, so that women will find us attractive and valuable enough to want to have sex with us? Bottom 80% men are either depressed trying to figure this out, or attempting to play the game as women have laid it out now by pretending to appear attractive by faking it through "game" or they're playing unsustainable (to them, because they're truly not rich enough) sugar-daddy game for a few recreational fucks for as long as the money's there, or they're saying "fuck this" and going MGTOW.

The future isn't terribly bright if this trend continues.

The reasons for this are several. Hypergamy is one of them among others. It's not so black and white

We’re talking about a generation that is poorer than their parents and the majority of whom won’t be able to afford a house. The answer to this is to reject the traditional life script since it’s unrealistic for many. I think this is a significant factor however the other factors play into it to, sometimes more so
