There's a lot of sympathy for women who have their babies switched. It's widely seen as a major tragedy, movies are made of it, it results in big court cases and million dollar lawsuits against hospitals and staff... the same thing cannot be said for paternity fraud and that's just wrong.

Like imagine women around the world in about 10% of all births, having another couple break into the delivery room right after she's popped her baby out, only to take her baby away and switch it with theirs. She is then forced, legally, to care for that other couples baby as she's signed some paper right before... she presents the court with DNA tests that prove otherwise, but still she cannot get off the hook. Now imagine this would happen world wide in millions of cases.

Same thing happens to men who find out in many, many cases that a child they raise isn't theirs... they have DNA evidence and all that. But they have signed some paperwork and lived with someone for a while and they're screwed for life. No one cares.
