As a father who has gone through a 4-year battle to obtain 50/50 custody of my daughter, I can attest to the bias that fathers face in family court. I have been disrespected and yelled at by judges, and it often felt like the deck was stacked against me from the start.

However, I didn't give up. I kept pushing myself every morning to take care of myself, going to the gym and getting all the support I could. I knew my daughter needed me, and I was determined to fight for her.

Eventually, with the help of my lawyer and through private mediation, I was able to secure 50/50 custody of my daughter. It was a long and difficult road, but I never gave up because I love my daughter and knew she needed me in her life.

I share my story to let other fathers know that they are not alone in their struggles. We must continue to fight for our rights and the right to be an equal parent to our children. I hope that my story can inspire others to keep fighting and never give up, no matter how difficult the journey may be.
