Inspired by our dear companion u/Sir_Vendetta, I would like to share two poems -I am also a lover of poetry and an amateur poet- who come together as a pair on many issues that influence us, that scare us or that we have experienced.
(I) The Man:
You saw that you were the offering, of that demanding market.
Did you understand sadly, your nonexistent value?
You suffered as God made you, in penitent pain.
You understood in your efforts, that everything is apparent.
You felt like you were worth nothing, in the presence of an absent gaze.
Your hopes submerged, in the mouth that lies to you.
You dressed dead deficiencies, with mind games.
You begged for mercy, but it will not be enough.
You turned your demons into an eminent task.
You continued and persevered, leaving behind what was before.
You perceived that the antonym, is promptly efficient.
You feared if they loved you, or stole from you differently.
You wanted to give everything, was it enough?
(II) Observer:
Smooth and whitish skin, anodyne vigilance, binomial in pure harmony, there is no agony in them. • Strong and devoted arms, sweetness for being loved, there is no man happier than he, for today the Eden is his. • Eighties music playing from an old discotheque, whose precise song is the calm of the heart. • Altered breathing and dilated pupils, gaze towards infinity, tremors from myths. • Mouth open and satisfied, spasms and peace as if made, shouts of realization, nights to the rhythm of love. • Red hands from squeezing uncontrollable hands, independent fingers, feet, smile of how much you lie. • Be happy, you who could, feel good, you who saw, because she is my beautiful wife, and what I couldn't, you gave.
