Cherry picked a subset of all the countries in the world (Brazil USA China etc)

Cherry picked one endpoint (% of international marriages that are from a country)

Then cherrypicked the country to use (japan).

All so a high correlation would result l

japanese men do actually have higher smv to southeast asians for reasons beyond money though, they are basically asians that are paler and slightly taller which means they have high smv to asians that are darker and shorter,

to further illustarte this point, i think japan is richer(or used to be richer?) than korea but most korean japanese marriages have a korean-husband and japanese wife, due to korean media influence + koreans being further paler and taller than japanese, here's the stat: https://www.nippon.com/en/ncommon/contents/features/51826/51826.png

that being said, international marriages in asia are such a minority that you shouldn't take it as an indication of anything, even white dudes who claim they slay at japan usually don't marry the girls.

in comparison asian men of any kind aren't found attractive in the west so the marriages are rare.
