This isn't a rhetorical question - it's a genuine question.
Suppose you're a guy who
- wants sexual attention and wants to be seen as attractive, but:
- isn't posting his dick online or posting shirtless photos on social media/wherever online
For example, you're a guy who is actively seeking out female attention, but when it comes to your online presence (wherever online) you aren't posting sexually explicit content of yourself for the internet public to see.
I'm not talking about sex work (making money) or DMing people privately - I'm talking about just posting nudes and thirst traps online publicly with the intention of getting attention.
What is stopping you from doing so? Is it:
- the belief that there won't be many women who would be interested in seeing such content to begin with?
- the fear of being judged for posting such things?
- feeling unconfident for doing such things?
Additionally, on that note do you think, when it comes to people who do post such things online, are men's motivations and women's motivations for doing so the same?
