I'm just blown away by the lack of care for men's safety or the idea that they can just protect themselves and be fine? Also if anyone knows of any resources that don't subscribe to this belief and be able to help please lmk. My fiance (28m) and I (23f) are staying in a shelter for bc an ex friend is threatening us and destroyed our apt by breaking in to the point it wasn't safe to stay there. But he found out where we were and attacked my fiance the day after we got to one shelter so had to move again. But what baffles me is the amount of places that will take me and our cats and protect us better, but won't take him. I can't find any safe resources for him and I have called every place in the state. For all we know we could move into a new place and if the person finds that out he could attack us there. I've just been doing my best to support my fiance (I'm also his caretaker bc he has epilepsy) but he's breaking down from the stress and it's like no one understands why. I'm asked "what do you think about his reaction to this?" As if I think it's not valid to break down over the fear of being hurt or worse. And he's also scared for mine and our pets safety bc we don't put it past the person to hurt us to get to him.
