For a while and ofc many times in the past I wasted much time over failures, near succcess or breakups etc. With women and everything.

While discussing an incident with a religious friend of mine, he pointed out that he does not care about bad past experiences as he believes it is all determined by God (or Allah in his case), and that he just had to make the best out of it.

It struck me then that this was another one of the beliefs that might have given religions and certain religions a leg up on non-religious people or earlier belief systems. This psychological crutch afforded him relief from mental torment over past failures, despite it involved believing something he at times seems unsure and afraid of (ie. the religion he adhered to not being true in a metaphysical sense).

As a lapsed religious person, I recently thought of a way to get out of a mental rut I have been in.

I kept thinking about all the sexual pleasure I would have had access to and the embarrassing pussy-chasing behavior, and lowering of standards I had to resort to because of my failures to get this or that girl in the past.

However I was able to change my perspective on these things, but taking stock of positive things I had done as a consequences of having a hard time with the opposite sex. I have learned a whole lot about finance, investing, 3D-printing technologies, made a decent amount off cryptocurrencies and many other things.

These things although I was happy about them, did not fulfill me as I had been a sex-starved beast for several years. However after reframing particularly bad events in light of the serious reconsideration of my lifestyle that followed it and self-improvement begun as a result, I learned to appreciate and actually be happy about them.

This simple psyhological trick/technique helped me see that these women I was pining over also wasnt really worth that much. Although several of them were top-notch in terms of looks.

Thanks to practicising Game I was able to attract a particularly attractive girl but broke into beta-mode quickly. Now my mentality is tougher. Furthermore, if I had been able to keep the girl(s) I most likely would not have had the motivation to change my dangerously high fat percentage from 30,1 BMI to 24,4.

So alongside your self-improvement, if your tormenting yourself over some oneitis girl or some public failure, missed opportunity, think about what really impelled you to change course, and if it really was that bad in light of your new, improved self.

Dont obsess about these things, but its a technique that can counterbalance the tendency of people like me to focus to much on the negative(failures) instead of the positive(achievements).
