The female experience: All options are available. You can abort, and you can self-impregnate anytime. The argument "a child needs a family in the normal case scenario" is these days laughable. You are a woman who would like to have an emotional support animal or a way towards self-righteousness and self-realization... cool, we shall fix it for you. Now there is a child, which is "HER miracle".

The male experience: Try nonetheless as a male to have a child alone, through an egg donor and a surrogate mother. Try to adopt an unwanted child who is lingering in the system-limbo. Try to even win half custody of your own already existing child. You don't have any legal definition of reproductive coercion against you or forms of "female stealthing" (think lies about contraception and STDs).

PS: I accompanied a friend to a fertility clinic, she wanted to freeze her eggs, for when she is ready to be a mother and needed some support for the operation (long story for another post).
