As a 33-year-old overheight, 6’8”, 220-pound guy I’m really baffled at what’s going on. At first, I thought it was the spotlight effect, so I just learned to ignore the constant phone down turning heads thing or random candid photos thing. But then on a regular basis I have women that just come up to me and ask for directions to things directly in front of them or how to use their phones or just give me random compliments. I usually just ignore them or just help them minimally and send them on their way. Other times they go out of their way to man slam you, even if you make a wide arc around them to avoid them. And then the annoying times are when they just randomly grab my ass or feel up my chest.

What I have been doing consistently for the past 2 years is training and road bike racing competitively in lowly cat 4s (with bottom tier results). All this time I have been following the workouts my cat 1 cycling coach has been giving me. Since I awakened red pill around a year ago I have asked him about how I can incorporate lifting into my routine. Unfortunately, he is totally against it, and he does have a valid point with putting on mass that doesn’t contribute to my strength to weight ratio will ultimately slow me down. As a overheight cyclist I truly must optimize myself to even see myself graduating to pack finishes, instead of off the back because of a minute climb. After a nasty injury related to passing out from overexertion last summer, I decided to also take up regular yoga classes (4-5 times per week) to address aerodynamics to which I have been consistent with since August. On the diet front I have been mostly keto but have been experimenting with TKD this year with promising results. All in all, my I spend around 6-10 hours per week training in my off season, and 16-25 hours per week on season. All this while advancing my DevOps career.

But the red pill dogma states that only valid exercise is lifting, so why am I getting these undeserved reactions from women?
