Life lesson: “Never love something/someone that doesn’t love you back.” Be it a person or a house, don’t keep getting involved when it will not make your life better. Any time wasted on this damaged person is keeping you from a person who will happily love and support you. You can steer her towards help but you cannot fix her. I feel extra sorry for her since she is losing a lovely person, you.
