I'm 5'8. Not a bad height, but I'm usually the shortest guy wherever I go, and I tend to feel self-conscious about it.
I've tried 2" lifts with boots and that brings me to 5'11. And, that's a night and day difference. When I wear them, I look at myself in the mirror and I feel like I look 10X more attractive, and women look at me more when I go into the club. I mostly do it because I feel more confident in my looks and I feel like woman respect me more, which I guess is the true underlying issue.
However, when I wear them, I struggle to talk to people and make eye contact because I feel like a fraud and I get anxiety over being discovered.
On the other hand, if I don't wear them, I feel unworthy of the situation, and I feel like if only I was taller would be worthy of the situation.
I know people here will tell me to suck it up. But, I need another perspective/ mindset shift on this. I think the underlying issue is that I want people to respect me and like me, and I feel that I get validated when women like me without even having had talked to me.
I've tried to mask this insecurity by buying expensive designer brand clothes, but that hasn't worked... And, I really want to get over it and have confidence.
