Something crazy happened to me yesterday. Someone was rude to me, and I was more rude back. I shouldn't have, but I was distracted and not thinking about it. The whole interaction was 2 seconds long.

A fat woman flipped out about it, stomped over yelling and got right in my face. Her muscle husband came next, right in my face on the edge of violence. I faced them both down without flinching or backing down, but not escalating either. Later the fat woman's sister stomped over and got in my face yelling and giving me a good view of her missing teeth. Finally both sisters and both husbands all together, though by then the husbands were over it.

If I can do all of that without my heart racing, why am I scared to approach women? It makes no sense. I was on the knife edge of violence with two people there, how is talking to women even comparable?

Before you say it, I do approach women. I overcome my fears.

Here's the difference. I'm like a swimmer who's afraid of water. Throw me in and I swim, but thinking about it gives me fear. If I had to think about that argument, I would have feared and avoided it. It's the same with approaching women. Stop thinking so much, just do it.
