I am taking the advice on 'rules of the game' as a book to train social skills. One of the tasks, asks you to call random numbers and try to start a conversation. But I find that doing this in the mobile phones era, can represent a shoot on the foot of your own privacy, as you will be exposing your phone number to random strangers.

Can you suggest some alternatives to this task?
