Hey, pat yourself on the back bud. Very few people have that self-discipline. FOMO is real, but financial responsibility is of the most upmost importance. If you can’t do it, you can’t do it.
However, having a social life is what gets you through life. You can save, yet still go out for a beer here and there. Just get those apps that help you track your spending. I like to get my paycheck and allocate it. Then i know what I have to go out. Then implement a forecast. Let’s say you have $500 for yourself after expenses, savings, etc. Divide $500/14 days ~ $35 a day. Then everyday that you don’t spend that full amount add it up for the weekends. Wallah, bring it out in cash only, that way you can’t spend more. Leave your credit card at home so you can control the urge to spend more.
Also cancel any subscriptions you may have that you don’t use. Gyms, music, internet subscription, etc.
