So about 6 months ago, I went to a house party that my friend threw. When I went there, a girl, lets call her A, came to meet me and immediately asked if she could hug me. Not to have a spotlight, I said yes and she hugged. After that when I was playing beer pong, A comes and becomes my beer pong partner. She then tightly side hugs me and touched her bu** with my thigh/**** area. After this unexpected touching, I felt a little confused as to what is going on(I thought maybe she is buzzed/drunk). Few minutes later she offers me a drink and I refuse saying I don't drink and she seemed shocked. That night A's drunk self said weird things to me.After this first meeting, I told myself to abstain any interaction with her. Coincidentally, my friend again invited me to a small gathering where A was also there. In that small gathering, A was generally nice to me and said things like she would never intentionally put some alcohol in my drink and that would mean crossing lines. In my next interaction, A, solely, was basically peer pressuring me to drink alcohol the entire night and I resisted. After that she again became nice to me, she started dating someone and the interactions with her became less dramatic. Just few days ago, I went to a house party where she was there with the guy she is dating. She asked me again that why don't I drink ( I was like not again !) I told her again it is for religious reasons.

She then asked me to promise her something (this has gotten me confused): A asked me to promise her that whenever I decide to drink I need to have A there. In the flow of events I promised her, but in hindsight I am perplexed. Why would A want me to promise her that she needs to be there when I decide to drink ? I understand if you want the other person to lighten up by drinking or you want to mitigate your own guilt of drinking by knowing everyone else drinks too. But what I don't understand is that why does A herself need to be there when I decide to drink alcohol ? Keeping the background in mind, does it seem A has any hidden motives ? ( I am confused)
