"Talk to everyone right when you hit up the venue." I heard this over and over again on Seddit, RSD material, and many other sources, and I'm not questioning the importance of this step, I'm just inexperienced and I have a couple of questions.
My questions stem from a little social anxiety. Don't get me wrong, I'm implementing it throughout my life and I find it great, it's just that at bars or clubs I feel there's this extra tension coming from guys being drunk and belligerent, and girls getting their bitch shield on. So I'm less inclined to do it. Without further ado, here are my questions:
Why do you find it important?
How do you go about it? What kind of things do you talk about? (Note: Please don't tell me 'anything.' I know it's a conversation at a bar, so it'll most likely be any bullshit. Instead, examples of how you go about it and the kind of topics you bring up would make me grateful.)
How long do you keep on talking with them? (If the conversation isn't that exciting to both parties)
Do you have any kind of topics that you always bounce back to when you have nothing to talk about?
Are there any resources you have in mind that might help? Should I prefer talking to certain kinds of people? (Groups or singles. Opposite sex or not)
