Hey man, girls are fucking crazy, we can all agree on that, and honestly I think you'd be better off just letting her take the lead if she wants to, neediness is the last thing you want to express.. As to whether or not she really just needs space, I wouldnt be too sure, but I dont think there is much you can do about it anyway.. I did the same with a girl I met not too long ago. Spend quite a bit of time with her, showing her interest, and then as I realised she was really boring, I just sort of stopped initiating texting and making plans, and I told her the same she told you. That I still liked her and didnt wanna loose touch, but that I just needed a little space.
