I wasn't scared at first: I went ahead, asked some out (some of whom were my friends, and some were acquaintances). I asked them out on a date (movie, dinner, etc), but after that, they all rejected me and told me they weren't interested. I'm not someone who cares a lot about looks either (I've asked out very attractive women and some not so attractive women, like overweight women, whose personalities I connected with). And none of them were into me. It could have been bad timing, but I never get to see these girls if we don't have class. The past year, I've been rejected by 5 girls, and many more girls I talked to already had boyfriends, so I didn't try anything with them.

I'm not necessarily bad looking (slightly chubby but I go to the gym), but I have seen uglier dudes with hotter girls.

So yeah, I really don't know what to do. Before when I was depressed about this, people told me to stop trying so hard and just focus on my own live and self-improvement. If I did my own thing (like focus on school, pursue my passion and interests, become confident in who I am), then naturally, some girl out there would like me for who I am. And I want to believe that this is still true. But even when I stopped pursuing women and seemingly became happy (I met a lot of people, became friends with many people, did well in academics), girls still haven't noticed me. Hell, even guys I meet are acquaintances at best, and we rarely hang out, since they have their cliques.

Even now, I am hung up on a few girls. I had a female friend who hugged me whenever she saw me and I had a crush on her. But she told me she had a boyfriend. There are some other girls I like, and I don't know how to proceed with them if I rarely see any of them. I have yet to approach them, though they are in my class, which has its last session on Wednesday.

I tend to either wait too long or I ask out too soon, which scares women off. I notice that its not just looks or personality, but timing also matters. I am not just aiming for rich doctors/nurses or pretty Blonde sorority sisters, but average girls too. I am not sure if doctors date guys with lower/no income or if sorority girls date non Greek guys. And what would I say? i do flirt and banter

"working hard or hardly working"?

"Hurricane Irma is bad. How would hurricane [girl's name] be?

You're so silly/clumsy/nerdy.

"A science major, just like me! hello fellow geek!

"Oh you're a CS/Science/Math major? Wow, so nerdy, like me!"

"You're in XX sorority? Man, you must like Starbucks and partying!"

"I can be the Mario to you, Princess Peach".

How is my banter game? The girls do laugh, but it could be a nervous laugh. I've approached many women, but they either aren't interested or are taken. I will make some comment about the class and laugh and then ask some questions like name, major, any club/sorority/involvement she is in. I don't know how to up my flirting game and bring them to my place for making out and having sex.

I am already 20 and a junior in college, and it will just get harder once I am full time working and not a student.

I have been depressed about this to the point my grades have dropped. I just view that dating/sex compliments college like how a gun compliments a soldier or how a hose/fire hydrant compliments a firefighter.
