Personally, I wouldn't think of it as a shit test. However, if it is, there's nothing wrong with saying "Take your time." Keep it short and to the point.

My answer is two fold and both I think are good responses. Since it's the first "date" you should be doing something casual , coffee , drinks or whatever. This is your chance to build up social proof. Become friends with the Bartender / Barista / Band / whoever is there. Practice talking to people. That way when she shows up and your talking to other people and have immediate social proof.

If it's a second date or so, run a little late. Make her wait on you. always use a frame of time , I'll be there a little after 7 or 7:15ish, this keeps her anticipating you. You can always call and tell her you are running a little late.

i think you are reading into it way too much. i used to always want to be later than she is, but i realized it doesnt matter. if you go into a day 2 worried about whos gonna arrive first, it is really hard to keep a comfortable frame. if shes late, talk to other people there, have fun without her. when she calls be nice about it.

some people just run on their own time schedule, if it frustrates you that much, screen for girls that are punctual.
