Sometimes I don't want to go out with meeting women being my focus. I'll go out with a close group of friends and get drunk and just have a great time. However there are still drunken encounters with women and I'm curious how you guys interpret them?

So here is my example, one of my friends brought a girl out with her that I hadn't met, at some point she starts making out with me and we get pretty physical a few times over the night. Eventually I got too drunk and was just focusing on talking to as many people as I could and started to ignore her unfortunately. She was also drunk. Anyway long story short she ended up going home with some other guy because I was pre occupied, but I was told it would of been a done deal if I had wanted it (told by friends watching). Should I try and pursue this girl or just write it off as drunken escapades?

Also in general how much materiality should be put into drunk encounters? Do you guys try to stay away from friends of friends?
