What do you guys think about using canned sex jokes to build comfort?

I always talk about wanting to get a little camel tattoo on my big toe. So I could always have a big camel toe.

For example, if I'm talking to a girl about tattoos, I'll tell them I plan on getting elephant ears tattooed here and make two circles with my hands above my junk.

I guess something like this could be funny but I think comments like these would be most effective if you've already built comfort. But if you haven't built comfort already, comments like these are going to be rushing it a little.

Anyone else do something similar?

Maybe I'm misunderstanding the title but the idea of using canned sex jokes to "build comfort," sounds almost contradictory. The idea of building comfort is synonymous with building rapport, as in building rapport in the opening stages of getting to know someone. When you're getting to know someone, one of the best ways to do so is to show you're paying attention to them.

If you are really listening to the other person, then you'll have enough to work with, without the need for canned lines. If you're looking/waiting for opportunities to use a canned line or thinking about which one would be best for the situation, then you're no longer listening to her as well. Because more of your attention is in your head. Read: you're not connecting as well. Which means you're not building comfort as well. Which was the point of your post, right?

There really isn't any need for conversations to steer toward sex, IMO Sexual tension should be built non-verbally and be ambiguous. Sexual jokes are ok, but shouldn't be used to try to get the interaction overall away from platonic.

Just worry about keeping things playful and Kino escalation (Dancing, Hugging, Hand holding, Kissing, making out)
