I've dabbled in PUA writings before - more on that story later. What's interesting though is that in some ways, a lot of the PuA and "alpha" or "red pill" advice almost resembles a quasi-religion, and is likely indirectly inspired by Nietzsche and existentialism in a lot of ways - not even going to comment on whether or not this is a good or bad thing, I just find a lot of the similarities uncanny:

*The idea of becoming an "alpha man" or "master seducer" in some ways sounds similar to Nietzsche's idea of "ubermench" or heroic individuals.

*Likewise the idea is that most people aren't aware of what they're really capable of, or just "settle" for convenient cultural or religious beliefs - this mirrors in some ways with the dictomy of "nice guys vs bad boys", "alpha vs beta male", "red pill vs blue pill, etc" - where the "average" guy simply settles for a convenient truth, such as that just "getting good grades, going to college, etc guarantees you'll meet a woman and live happily ever after" - versus the "alpha" men who understand that the work works according to cause and effect and that nothing is "given" to someone for free.

*In some ways it seems like the goal isn't even just about "getting laid" but almost more about competition or training oneself to become "stronger" simply by learning how to overcome rejection, improve one's skills, etc
