Keep long story short, met a co-worker couple of weeks back, added on Instagram, she liked couple of my posts, she posted a story and found the perfect opportunity for me to slide in her DMs. Started a bit of rapport over DM as she is engaging conversation and keeps trying to keep it alive. Also stumbled upon her a couple of times in the office and had some light hearted conversation.

Worth grabbing a number or is DMs good enough these days to take this further?

Edit: We barely interact in the workplace - only when we happen to stumble upon each other in the lift, kitchen, etc adding to the fact she only recently joined. We're in completely different teams so very rarely would we have to work together on a professional level (at least for now). In addition, our company has over a couple of thousand employees - this can be both good and bad in my opinion.
